]]><![CDATA[DOES WITH NEW STARS]]>Wed, 09 Aug 2023 20:01:28 GMThttps://www.hickoryleafdairygoats.farm/farm-updates/new-milk-starsIn order for a doe to receive a milk star from a registry she must go through a milk test where specific amounts of milk and butterfat are met. Milk stars are great accomplishments showing a doe's ability to be a higher than average milker. We test with two registries, the American Dairy Goat Association and the American Goat Society.

On 7/16/23 Tinker Bell received her star. she has also inherited a star from her grandmother (silver Dime) and her mother (Silver Bell) making her a 3*D 3*M

On 7/16/23 Flash Buckle received her milk star.
Flash Buckle has also inherited a star from her grand mother (silver Dime) and a star from her mother (Buckle) which now makes her a (3*D 3*M) doe

On 7/16/23 Asta milk tested and received her milk star.
she is now a (1*D 1*M) doe
